Radiation:

Because of Lida's stage (3s) her
treatment plan is both
chemotherapy
and
radiation.
She is going to receive radiation for
15 minutes, 5 days of week and for
3.5 weeks.
As soon as I get more informations
I will update you more regarding this
matter.
It is 5/18/05
one of our happiest days in our lives. Lida is free of cancer and is in remission
phase. The PET-SCAN result was completely normal, indicating that Lida has no
mass in her body.
We are happy and wish her luck

Personal History
Lida was born in April 1975, in Tehran. As I was told she was a healthy, normal child from the beginning and had no threatening
illnesses prior to her cancer diagnosis. In the past, she had only some episodes of cold and flu and at age thirteen tonsil removals
surgery was performed on her due to a minor infection.
As far as our family is concerned, my parents and sister were always healthy and never had any life threatening illness. Our
Grandmother, my dad’s mom, on the other hand is a cancer survival for twenty-six years now; she is ninety-six years young.
Lida has lived in Southern California for about t
welve years; she lives close to her friends and relatives in Orange County. She has fate
in higher power and I truly believe that she is a strong individual who can overcome any kind of obstacles, as she has in the past. She
believes that for courageous people failure is never an option. She also believes that Life is something to cherish and to hold and there
is no second opportunity to go back.

Her illness
She has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage II on September 25th 2004 after some lab tests such as CT-scan, X-ray
and lymph node biopsy surgery which was performed to determine the cause of her neck’s swelling. She had no prior complications
or symptoms except that she experienced a major skin infection seven months ago and long before her cancer diagnosis. The results of
the second full body scan showed other abnormal nodes, one between her lungs and one in the spleen so her stage worsened to III
which also changed the remission phase. A PET-scan was performed to indicate the exact location and nature of the abnormal nodes
and to determine the right treatment option. In addition to her PET-scan a Bone-Marrow biopsy showed no abnormality which has
been the only good news so far.

Her treatment
Next step is to place a catheter into the chest which will make the Chemotherapy treatment easier. As everybody knows, nowadays,
Chemotherapy is the only logical option for cancer patients, therefore, that would be her logical option as well. She is going to have

Stanford-V
treatment which is a fairly new medication and will be administered in twelve cycles weekly. As of now, the removal of
the spleen is yet to be determined.

This is what we know to this point and I will update the site as new information becomes available. Thank you for your support and
prayers.

God bless,
Lily
